What is the Process of Discovering a Franchise?

When you decide to start exploring a franchise business alone, you will be overwhelmed with the options that are available. Our process of discovery takes some of the burdens from the process.

What makes our process different than other franchise brokers or the franchisor’s process alone?

It starts with getting to know you by taking our Business Builder Assessment guide. This will give us an idea what you are good at and where you excel. We want to find a franchise that can fill in the gaps where you are not as strong.

Next, we perform a market study into the area you desire to operate your business. These demographics will help us determine what products or services have the best chance of success!

After we determine what type of business will work for you and your market, we start our search and present several concepts for you to provide your feedback. (this is where the fun begins!)

But we don’t stop there! We then educate you on the Franchise Disclosure Document and point out strengths and weaknesses of each franchise concepts and how they compare to others. We look at the data first and what the franchise actually has to disclose – not only the sales and marketing material.

We will attend conference calls with the franchisors to make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction.

We walk you through ways to validate the franchisor’s claims through interviews with other franchisees in the network.

By the conclusion of the franchise of our process our goal is to have you answer the following questions:

  1. How much is it going to cost me?
  2. How much money can I make?
  3. How quickly can I make it?
  4. What are other people saying about it?
  5. How will I be supported?
  6. Can I see myself doing this?

When you can answer those questions, you will have found a franchise that is right for you.

Franchising is NOT for Everyone?

Are you still with me? That’s right, being a franchised business owner may not be for you. It is a good fit for a lot of people… but it’s not for everyone.

Let me explain….
How do you know that you are NOT a good fit for a franchised business?

  1. You have unique ideas and always want to try new ways of doing things.
  2. You can go for months (or even years) without an income.
  3. You have a new and creative concept that you feel passionate about.
  4. You have expertise in a specific field and don’t need operational assistance.
  5. You are a seasoned business owner and have strong relationships to support your new endeavor.

If this is you, I wish you the best is your search

How to Build an Empire with a Franchise

I frequently get some push-back from aspiring business owners when presented with the idea of buying a franchised business. One frequent complaint is the fear of feeling restricted and that “Big Brother” is watching them.

Although I understand their concerns, there are many opportunities for growth in franchising.

There are millionaires, if not billionaires, who have built their wealth as owners of regional franchised operations.

Private equity groups can buy several hundred franchised locations, then build a corporate management team to operate them. When you scale, it’s more cost effective to spread the overhead cost of management as you have that kind of revenue from several locations.

Are you considering a master franchise license, a multiple franchise location, or becoming a regional developer? All of these are ways to quickly scale the business and multiply your income. We can talk about them.

You bring the action plan and the vision you want for your life, and the franchisor will provide the path to help you get there.

Do you see the value in having someone with franchising experience looking out for your best interest? Would you like me to help you in the research and selection process to make sure you buy into the right system for you and your lifestyle?
